All the wines in the Villa Esposto range are made from bush vines, all the way from Arbeidseind, near the small town Graafwater in the Sandveld region. Oom Basie van Lill, our top producer, supplies us, with the best of the best grapes, for us to be able to make extraordinary wines for our premium range.
The Sauvignon Blanc bush vines are planted about 520m above sea level. We had a result of 3.80 yields per hectare. We harvested these grapes around the 7th of February 2019, when they reached a riper stadium. The grapes had skin contact before pressing, which enriched a bolder taste, with added complexity.
With a spectacular nose, this Sauvignon Blanc stands tall with lovely green notes, with a definite taste of green pepper & ripe vig. Imagine picking a vig from the tree, tearing it apart right there on the spot, the smell hitting your nose right there and then, that’s exactly what you will pick up when tasting this wine!
Without a doubt, this is one heck of a wine, and without any hesitation, we invite you to come and taste this beauty & give us your input of what you think of our 2019 Sauvignon Blanc limited release.
Available in a 750ml bottle @R95 cellar door price. We have 100, 1.5L bottles for R180 each, exclusively at our cellar.
