Talk about grape reception

Talk about grape reception

With the harvest season approaching, our team is working together to have our grape reception area in working order to ensure safety and time efficiency.

The reception for handpicked or mechanically harvested grapes is one of the first stages of winemaking. It has a significant impact on the quality of the resulting wine. It is crucial to preserve the quality of the grapes during transport and reception. During harvest season, large masses of grapes enter the grape reception area and the best way to ensure that the juice is protected is through the use of proper equipment.

Tractor delivering grapes

This project started in July 2024 and is still ongoing. With the harvest season approaching, our team is working together to have the grape reception area in working order to receive and ensure safe work, time efficiency, and enough space for moving vehicles. Loading trucks should be able to move in and out safely and swiftly to ensure that the quality of the grapes is preserved before being fermented.

Ultimately, the aim is to produce wine of good quality, effectively and safely. Our mission at Klawer Wine Cellars remains to deliver outstanding taste and service and through proper restoration of the grape reception area we believe that we are one step closer to doing that.
