Christo Beukes

Christo's interest in winemaking started while working at Klawer Wine Cellars as a general worker. His perseverance and loyalty soon paid off, when he was appointed as assistant winemaker at Klawer Cellars.

He successfully completed numerous courses between1999 and 2009 at Elsenburg College, and also completed a course in wine evaluation at the University of Stellenbosch.

In May this year, he received his code of honour as winemaker from WCSA. Christo dreams of working a harvest overseas, becoming (a full) winemaker, and to someday achieve the General Smuts trophy.

He always strives to produce good quality products for all clients of Klawer Wine Cellars.
